“This is our second water softener. The first Harvey's was good but the second Kinetico was better and cheaper to operate. Both my wife and I like black tea but as we have lived in hard-water areas we usually get a scum on the surface of the tea. With a water softener that does not happen and the cups are therefore easy to clean. Obviously there are other advantages such as softer laundry. But for me the scum use to drive me to distraction so it was important. The plumbing and installation was also simpler on the Kineticco model.”
