“Was very disappointed that the softener provided requires curve shaped salt blocks which have proven to be more difficult to obtain and are more expensive than the large salt blocks. This should have been flagged to me when I was in process of identifying and purchasing the softener. It seems as if the device was designed to take curved salt blocks - just to control the pricing! The softener appears to be working ok. ”

We feel like this should not be the customer’s responsibility. The installation date was delayed, and after installation we encountered ongoing issues with the water testing. Despite us clearly explaining the situation in detail and strictly following the instructions provided, our concerns were repeatedly ignored. Instead of in”

“Generally good service with a quick response. Explained exactly how the system works. Only disappointment was, surveyor said soft water system will fit underneath the kitchen sink but when installer came to set up few days later it didn't. So it is installed outside my house! Wooden box to secure the machine was too big and no locking system either. But sorted after a month now. Overall, happy for now and hoping the soft water system will last for a long time without any issues!! ”

“I am pleased with my softener, the way it looks and fits. They did tell me the salt would take a fortnight to get into the system. It has taken longer than that, despite my filling the bath to the top every day as I live alone. So my shower was cold for 2 weeks...awful when washing my hair!. Better now I have had a lot of visitors and more water going through the system. ”

“Was not pleased with instalation time fitter didn't arrive till 4.30 drilled hole inback wall went home said he would be back next day arrived 3.30 fitted softener said he didn't have time to put shelve back in cupboard would come back ion 21st Oct to cut shelve and put back told him I couldn't go 2 weeks with all my saucepans and everything on the worktops for 3 weeks so he did cut the shelf out and put it back but said he had to come back in 3 weeks and film the holes in the wall as he didn't ”

Eventually 2 lady customer service advisors fulfilled there role and got an engineer out and this didn’t got to perfectly. “It was a tricky installation due to shortage of space but seems to have been done very competently. Pleased with the improvements to the product as well with the smaller salt blocks and WiFi to aid better and easier salt refilling.”

“Salt needs adding approximately every 6weeks for two people. Call out charges very high. Our Harvey’s water softener is almost 10 years old. Viewed buying a replacement, thought having all the plumbing in place we would only need a new unit installed. Price quoted for all new parts, etc as if the water softener was being installed for the first time. Would only recommend Harveys with the above advice. ”

The engineer arrived 9.30 a.m. Also day before I was working and was sent a message asking where the machine was going and to send photos. Was unable to do this until I arrived home. Prior to sending got another message chasing for reply. ”
